Things I Thought I Would Never Do!

Well, since Amy is visiting me this week I have been reminded that I need to post more on this blog of mine! So I am going to try to get better at posting, even if it is just a quick picture!

Well, I have been busy this week doing all kinds of things that I never thought I would do! Ran my first race, jumped into a waterfall, and went snorkling and liked it! It has been so fun to have Amy here to experience it all with me.

Monday I did my first race ever! The Great Aloha Run, 8.15 miles, we started at Aloha Tower and ran to the Aloha Stadium. I am so glad that I got pressured into signing up and doing it. It was so much fun and I am actually excited to do another race (at some point, no rush) :)
Headed to our starting point
This was before the race started... I was still laughing then.
Laura and I! We are running buddies!
We are ready to run!

It was very early in the morning
waiting to start
What have I got myself into???
WE DID IT!
And this is Laura and I :)
WOO HOO
One of my favorite boys! John Oliver!
A much needed reward of FOOD!

Amy and I went hiking and we both jumped off the rocks from the a waterfall! Never thought I would do that, seeing has I have a big fear of jumping into water! But we both did it had we had a blast!

We got a little drenched from the rain on the way up!
I wasn't so sure I wanted to jump in

We went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay! I have been one before with Grace and Laura and really really didn't like it! Well, when Amy and I started our snorkeling adventure I thought it was going to be the same story. I wasn't liking it at all! But after awhile I started to get used to it and then you couldn't keep Amy and I out of the water! We had a blast!! There were sooo many amazing fish to see! And my dream came true and we got to swim with a sea turtle! It was such a fabulous day!

I think Hawaii has been very good for me! I am doing all sorts of things that I never thought I would. I am so glad that Amy got to come and visit and see my life here. It was so much fun. Here is a bit of my daily life that Amy captured!

I love my job!
And I love where I live!

P.S.
It looks like I am going to be able to come home for spring break! I got a standby ticket. So as long as I can get on the flight I will be back on the mainland on Saturday!
